Joe Cacaci has written and produced multiple movies for television and has served as Executive Producer on two primetime dramatic series: The Hoop Life (starring Mykelti Williamson, Dorian Harwood and Dan Lauria) for SHOWTIME and The Education of Max Bickford (starring Richard Dreyfuss and Marcia Gay Harden) for CBS. For that series, he wrote the episodes that brought Eli Wallach and Peter O?Toole to the show. He co-created the series The Trials of Rosie O?Neill (starring Sharon Gless) also for CBS. Mr. Cacaci is currently an Executive Producer with David Black and Richard Dreyfuss of Mr. Black?s series Copshop, for PBS.

He has directed an independent feature, Stranger in My House (starring Lindsey Crouse), the final episode of The Hoop Life, (starring Charles Durning and Edward Asner) and the KCET/PBS pilot of Copshop (starring Richard Dreyfuss and Blair Brown and Jay Thomas).

His stage plays Self Defense and Old Business have had productions in numerous venues including The Long Wharf Theater, The Joseph Papp Public Theatre, The Alley Theater, and The Coconut Grove Playhouse.

He has also directed over 30 regional and commercial theater productions (including his own plays at The Public and in Los Angeles) as well as numerous world premieres like Shel Silverstien?s Empty Room, Jason Milligan?s Men in Suits, (starring Charles Durning and Dan Lauria). During the twelve year run of The Playwrights Kitchen Ensemble?s Monday Night Reading Series in Los Angeles, founded by Dan Lauiria, he helped stage over 500 readings of new plays. The casts included such regular players as Joe Mantegna, Peter Falk, Charles Durning, Christian Slater, Tony Shalhoub, Joanna Kerns, Jean Smart, Gena Rowlands, Wendie Malick and Doris Roberts, to name just a few.
