I started my political life working with my mother for the passage of the ERA in the state of Ohio. In 1984, at 19, I was a delegate at large to the democratic convention for Senator Gary Hart. While working on my doctorate, I was a reporter for the daily newspaper in Saratoga Springs, New York. After finishing my PhD in English Literature, I taught literature at a small liberal arts college in Upstate New York, Siena College. I moved to San Francisco where I wrote and performed sketch comedy, and made several short films. Since moving to LA, I've been a hired gun for several feature producers, writing comedies and thrillers, and also wrote for the FX sitcom, 'Son of the Beach.'
