Mr. Block is also a regular panelist on "Call Sheet," an independent look at the entertainment business which is heard weekly on National Public Radio affiliate KPCC-FM in Southern California.
Mr. Block was previously Editor of The Hollywood Reporter, a position he held for seven years, longer than anyone else has ever held that title.
During a career in journalism that has spanned three decades, Mr. Block has also been Associate Editor of Forbes Magazine, City Editor of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, columnist for the Detroit News and movie critic and Entertainment Editor of the Miami News.
Mr. Block has extensive experience on both radio and TV. He has done shows and commentary for stations in Miami, Detroit, New York and Los Angeles. He is frequently quoted both in print and by the electronic media. His recent appearances have included CNN, CNBC and CNNfn.
Mr. Block is the author of the critically acclaimed book, "OUTFOXED: The Inside Story of America's Fourth Television Network," the story of how Rupert Murdoch and others launched the fourth American TV network; as well as the global bestseller, "The Legend Of Bruce Lee," which sold over four million copies in nine international editions.
Mr. Block has been a board member and Executive Director of the Los Angeles Press Club. He is also on the board of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.
